πŸ“ Where you attend in Pakistan

UK visitor applications are submitted online first. You do not normally hand a paper application to the British High Commission. After paying on GOV.UK, you are directed to VFS Global to choose a Visa Application Centre and book your biometric appointment.

What to take on appointment day: Your passport/travel document is essential. For the safe side, PassportHut recommends taking your appointment confirmation and the originals of all important supporting documents you used in the application β€” for example bank/financial evidence, employment or business proof, sponsor documents, relationship evidence, accommodation/invitation documents, and any other route-specific evidence. This is recommended even if you already uploaded scans online, because the VAC or UKVI may ask to see or rescan a document. You may not be asked to hand over every original. Since 25 February 2026, successful Pakistani visitor applicants generally keep their passport after the biometrics session and receive an eVisa.

How to get the appointment

  1. Complete the Standard Visitor visa application on GOV.UK.
  2. Pay the UK visa application fee online. Keep your GWF reference number.
  3. After payment, follow the link to VFS Global Pakistan.
  4. Choose the available UK Visa Application Centre and appointment date/time.
  5. Choose only the optional VFS services you actually want; optional services do not improve the chance of approval.
  6. Upload supporting documents online, or choose document-scanning assistance if available and needed.
  7. Attend the selected centre with your passport, appointment confirmation and, for the safe side, the originals of the important supporting documents used in your application.

After the appointment

Decision, passport and eVisa guidance

Since 25 February 2026, successful Pakistani visitor applicants generally receive an eVisa in their UKVI account and can keep their passport after biometrics instead of returning to collect a visa vignette. Follow the decision email and UKVI account instructions.
